Irfan Wahab Khan has been promoted recently to look after distribution affairs of the Telenor in Asia recently. He has assumed the charge of Vice President and Head of Distribution of Asia Telenor ASA.
Started his career in Paktel, one of the cellular operators in Pakistan which shut down its operations, as RF and Transmission Engineer, Irfan Wahab is one of the Pakistani who has been successful throughout his professional life in the field of telecommunication.
He has worked for American’s T Mobile, British Orange, Sony Ericson and PTCL.
In 2004, Irfan Wahan joined Telenor Pakistan and started gaining valuable experience and achievement for himself and his company.
He has played a leading role in the company as Executive Vice President Telenor and CEO LDI Ltd.
In his tenure, he received awards for “Most Innovative Mobile Operator” and “Mobile Operator with the Most Consumer Pull” at the 6th SAARC Communication Industry Conference 2007 held in Kathmandu, Nepal.
After five years in Pakistan, he was transferred to Telenor Head office in Norway where he worked as Group Vice President Devices.
