Isn’t It A Surprising? PTCL Conferred A Global Award

It must be a surprising news for you when hear and read about PTCL to have conferred an award at global platform because in next moment things come in your minds are your bad experiences with company regarding its services and interaction with staff if you are its customer and ex-customer.

But whatever you say about PTCL’s service quality, the company has an art to achieve awards and receive recognitions at national and global level particularly in those fields which are not related to its core business.

PTCL has been honored by the prestigious U.S.-based Environment Systems Research Institute (ESRI) with the “ESRI Special Achievement in GIS Award 2012” for its achievements and organizational performance in geographic information systems (GIS) and programs.

The company has been recognized by ESRI for its expert deployment of GIS in Islamabad region based on ESRI’s ArcGIS platform with telecom intelligence added through Telcordia’s NE software for purposes of access network planning and documentation.

So here is list of awards it was conferred at various platforms since last year.

Best Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative 2011-2012 Award presented by the National Forum for Environment. (For what? Unexplained so far. Have you ever heard about CSR activities of PTCL? Very rare if any.)

• PTCL was declared the leading operator in the country by PTA 2011 Quality of Service survey for providing the highest quality Broadband Internet service to consumers. (PTA has awarded the same title to a more a less every operator in the country despite lots of complaints unregistered at the customers end.)

• The company won the prestigious International SAMENA Award 2011 as the “Best

Telecom Operator in South Asia”. (Since Mr Walid Arshad is the Vice President of SAMENA, therefore, it is right of the PTCL to be awarded absolutely.)

• PTCL was also awarded the 2012 Consumer Choice Award as the ‘Best Wireless

Broadband’ Internet service provider. (Absolutely right, you can have broadband connection at Rs 250 whatever it is connected in hours and ended in minutes.)

• PTCL was honored with “10th Teradata National IT Excellence Award” for its evolutionary 3G EVO Wireless Broadband Internet. (The credit must be go to PTCL for this services, which ensures fast internet no doubt wherever the connectivity is available but the different networks work if EVo service is not available in particular area.)
